The following photos were taken after both the First and Second XIs have won their games aginst Polytechnic and Southall respectively. You can see the state of the subject matter deteriorates throughout the night, as progressively more lager is drunk. All in all a top day for the club.
Matt 'Road Rage' Worton lives up to his other nickname by reacting angrily to having his photo taken whilst on the phone. |
Ricko 'Throw Like a Girl' Lewis showing what he looks like before consuming copius amounts of lager. |
Matty and Ricko celebrate another superb Edmonton victory in their own special way. Apologies to their ladies for posting this picture on the internet - I thought you needed to know the truth about them both! |
Angry Worton poses with Indian superstar Venki, who incidentally is wearing the wort T-shirt ever. Venki was forgiven on the basis that he scored on the of the best hundreds seen for a while to steer us to victory, finishing on 134 not out. |
Matty, Ricko, Cheesy, Dodgy and Venki pose for the camera, whilst skipper Tony 'Catch Like Kenway' Willett adopts his normal studious pose in the background, admiring Barnard's bowling figures. |
Chris Goddard, Ciaran Dodds & Danny Hare wondering why they're having their photo taken. |
Alan 'Captain Scarlett' Barnard poses for the camera, whilst Micky 'Spikey' Bilson does something silly (no change there). |
This photo scared the cr*p out of me - has anyone else seen this man smile before? Tim 'Free Willy' Beeden looks happy as larry after being involved in another victory, this time away to Southall. |
Barratt 'No Nickname (yet)' Ganji and Ricky '3rd XI' Smyth pose for the camera, and look decidedly sober with the hindsight of the photos to come... |
Gavin 'Mini-Smith' Mardell assumes a superbly cheesy catalogue pose - unfortunately, he is modeling Walkers Crisps and Snickers. Also note James 'Psycho' Arrowsmith's injury in the background - no prizes for guessing how he sustained that one... |
John 'Quality' Street poses with Barrat - please note that they are both standing at the same level. Streety took one of the best caught and bowled seen for a while to dismiss Poly's number 3 bat earlier in the day. |
Ricko Lewis, Venki, Martin 'Monster' Loveday, Streety, Barratt, Barney, Nick 'Gee what a' Waker, Ricky, Ses 'Jaya' Jayasena and Mark 'Non Nonsense' Varley. |
Ricko, Paul 'Billy Bunter' Ryan, Wills, Monster, Streety, Ricky, Barney, Varley, Ciaran & Ses. |
Venki decides to hide his shocking T-shirt, whilst some comedian decides to get in on the act in the background. |
This is scary. |
Ricko, Doddsy, Wills, Ricky & Barratt compete for who can assume the silliest expression. The smart money's on Ciaran, anyone'd think a certain umpire was standing behind him from that expression. |
This has to be some kind of optical illustion. Has anyone ever seen Andy 'Alice' Cooper look as happy as this? |
I just can't stop laughing at this one. |
Beeden proves that he hasn't lost the plot after all, by doing what everyone in their right mind has always wanted to do. |
Ricky looks decidedly shocked as Captain Scarlett expresses a little too much affection towards the end of the night. |
Little and Large? |
(See earlier photo) This is what Ricko looks like after he has consumed a large quantity of beer. |
The effects of the night before finally catch up with Rhino.... He's a heavyweight lightweight if you get my drift? |
