ECC Race Night - Satuday 19th May

Edmonton Cricket Club & Teffers Productions proudly present ECC RACE NIGHT - Saturday 19th May 2012, first race 8.30pm, 8 Races to enjoy. Come along and support your club, plenty of fun to be had. Saturday 5th May

It's been confirmed that The Saturday 1st XI game on the 5th of May vs. Old Actonians will go ahead unless there is a significant deterioration in the weather between now and then. All other games are off. If anyone is available for selection for next weekend (12th May), please get in touch with Azid Sohoye or Alan Barnard. Lastly, a reminder that senior net practice take place on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm, and our coaches will be there to work with you and make use of both of our bowling machines.

Presentation Evening Saturday 28th April - 7.30pm onwards

A last reminder about tomorrow night - food from 7.30pm followed by presentations to last year's outstanding players across all senior teams. John Simpson, the Middlesex keeper, is our guest. Quiz Night - Friday 20th April

It's been confirmed that there will be a quiz night at Edmonton CC on Friday February 17th, with Tim Beeden as the quizmaster. To enter, you are asked to make a suggested donation of £2 per person, with all funds going to the Cricket Club. The evening will kick off at 7.30, and anyone is welcome to come along. Tables are 6 people, although if you don't have a 6, don't be put off, we can always pair people up if needs be. Why not come along, the evenings are always great fun, and you can do your bit to support the club. Feel free to spread the word to friends / family or anyone else who may be interested.

Presentation Evening Saturday 28th April - 7.30pm onwards

This year's Club Supper will be held on 28th April and will include presentations to last year's noted players. There will be Batsman and Bowlers award for all senior teams, as well as Young Player of the Year. Tickets for the night, which include a three course supper, bumper raffle and music courtesy of DJ Chris, will only be £20 each. Senior Pre-Season Training 2012

It's been announced that there will be senior pre-season training / nets on Sunday the 15th and Sunday the 22nd of April at the club from 12-2pm - all members are encouraged to attend and to bring along any prospective new members. The training sessions will be coached / structured, and we intend to make use of our two bowling machines to ensure that all players get time at the crease. Can we ask that people wishing to attend are at the club and ready for 11.45am, so that we can start the sessions on time. Lastly, because we will be training outdoors, if the weather isn't good, you're encouraged to call Ray Dodds on 07722937335 beforehand to confirm that the session is still taking place. Middlesex Ladies at Edmonton CC

We have confirmation that Middlesex CCC Ladies will be playing two matches at Hydeside again this season, continuing on from the fixtures of the last few years. The matches, which will start at 11am are against Berkshire on Sunday 27th May 27th and Somerset on Sunday 15th July 15th. All members and non members are invited to come along and give their support to the ladies, and there will be a bar service and catering all afternoon.

February News Update

Can you help us? We need someone to prepare and serve tea to the senior players on Saturdays and Sundays during the season. Sometimes there are three matches on each day - that's over 70 people. We are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to do this, and we are flexible about how it's done. If you are interested in making a proposal, then please call Ray Dodds on 07722 937335 or email him at raydoddsecc@yahoo.co.uk.

Save the Date! Saturday 28 April 2012 - Club Presentation Evening. Full details to come but expect a special guest speaker, as well as presentations to the notable players from the 2011 season. Tickets will be available soon at £20 each and will include a three course supper.

Wendy Owen

It is with deep sadness that the Club has heard that Wendy Owen passed away last night. Wendy was not only a great servant to this Club but a great friend. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time. It's been confirmed that Wendy's funeral will take place on Thursday the 16th of February at 11.45am at Enfield Crematorium.
