Committee Meeting - Thursday 19th January

Just a quick note to let all members know that there is a committee meeting coming up next Thursday, the 19th of January at the club at 7pm. Should you wish to raise anything, please speak with a committee member prior to the meeting, or email us on alan@edmontoncc.org.

Quiz Night - Friday 20th January

It's been confirmed that there will be a quiz night at Edmonton CC on Friday January 20th. To enter, you are asked to make a suggested donation of £2 per person, with all funds going to the Cricket Club. The evening will kick off at 7.30, and anyone is welcome to come along. Tables are 6 people, although if you don't have a 6, don't be put off, we can always pair people up if needs be. Why not come along, the evenings are always great fun, and you can do your bit to support the club. Feel free to spread the word to friends / family or anyone else who may be interested.

Remminder: Quiz Night - Friday 23rd December

Reminder about the quiz night this Friday: please make the evening extra festive by bringing a small amount of food to share. The evening will start at 8pm and there will also be many good raffle prizes on offer.

Quiz Night - Friday 2nd & Friday 23rd December

It's been confirmed that there will be a quiz night at Edmonton CC on Friday December 2nd. To enter, you are asked to make a suggested donation of £3 per person, with all funds going to the Cricket Club.

The evening will kick off at 7.30, and anyone is welcome to come along. Tables are 6 people, although if you don't have a 6, don't be put off, we can always pair people up if needs be. Why not come along, the evenings are always great fun, and you can do your bit to support the club. Feel free to spread the word to friends / family or anyone else who may be interested.

Also, another date for your diary - we have a Christmas Quiz on Friday the 23rd of December at the club from 7.30pm. Again, to enter, people are asked to make a suggested donation of £3, and it will be the usual setup with tables of 6 people, although we be happy to have anyone along and we can join smaller groups together. In addition to this, people attending are asked to bring along festive food for the evening, so that we can share something seasonal to eat.

Also, Sue O'Brien has asked me to thank everyone that attended the Fireworks Evening at the club this Friday just gone - we're pleased to say that we made more than £400 for the club, which is fantastic! A big thank you as well to everyone that gave up their time to help make the evening such a success.

Fireworks Evening & BBQ - Saturday 5th November 2011

Back by popular demand (although we can't promise that you'll see AP and Brian running across the outfield getting peppered by rockets this time), Edmonton CC are hosting a Fireworks Evening on Bonfire Night, Saturday the 5th of November at the club.

The evening will kick off with a full bar and a BBQ / Sausage Sizzle from around 5pm, and the fireworks part of the evening will be from 7pm. There's a suggested donation of £2 for everyone towards the cost of the fireworks, although feel free to chuck in a bit more if you enjoy yourselves - all money raised will go towards the club.

Lastly, anyone is welcome to come along - we've purposely chosen 7pm for the fireworks so that people are able to bring younger children along without it getting too late, so please spread the word, the more the merrier.

Congratulations to the 1st XI

A big "well done" to Kevin Lawrence, and all of the 1st XI, who won against Old Lyonians on Saturday the 3rd to secure the Middlesex Championship 1st Division league title. You can find the updated table here: 1st XI League Table 2011. Rest assured that the celebrations went on long into the night, and were not in the slightest bit restrained!

Fun Fundraising!

So far this year we have raised just over £4,000 through quiz nights, events, BBQs and raffles. This money has helped pay for the new scoreboard. It would be fantastic if over the rest of the season we could raise enough funds to hit the £5,000 mark. Come along and support the Colts BBQ this Friday - it marks the end of the Colts season, with the last nets and matches being held this week.

Come and see the Colts take on their Coaches in a T20 match, try your hand at the Single Wicket! Hope to see you there.

Colts Summer Festival & Cricket School 1st-5th August

We have been fortunate enough to be given a grant from Enfield Voluntary Action which will allow us to run a two week summer colts festival. From 1 to the 5 August there will be coaching sessions each day from 11am until 4pm focusing on different disciplines. Edmonton members can take part in these activities for £2 a day/non-members £5 a day. Please bring a packed lunch and drinks.

On Wednesday 3 August we will be hosting an Under 10s festival. The second week will see a tournament each day for each age group. If you would like more information about any of these activities please email edmontoncolts@virginmedia.com.
